We've begun to transplant perennial peanuts on 'Apapane Coffee Farm, a gift from our kind neighbor, Deb. These plants affix nitrogen in the soil and will in time crowd out invasive weeds. Additionally, we can transplant rhizomes from the first plantings to spread the plants across the farm. The nitrogen will add a natural fertilizer and reduce the reliance on traditional fertilizers.
